eman - I'll let you know when it's done, it hasn't been done yet - haven't had time. Given that I don't want other people to download it - I will let you know how it goes. Do you have the ability to get pm's yet?

@joluke - do you get an error message when you crash? Or are there error message text files in the log folder?
The graphics rules is set up correctly for you as far as I can see.

Oh by the way - do you have the game running as admin and what compatibility have you set it to?

hi there, i'm very new here so please excuse me if i seem rude or anything, but i really need some help. :c i understand you're really busy, but i just can't seem to get this to work.
i've tried everything i possibly could on here, plus a few things from another tutorial, too, but nothing's working. i can't read code worth crap, so maybe you can find something that i'm not seeing?

you see, part of the problem is that for the step saying to save the Graphic Rules.srg as something else. i don't even HAVE that file apparently, or at least i can't see it. the only way i can "get it" is by skipping step two and downloading the new graphic thingy that i need and the file will pop up, but only as a notepad version instead of something i can unzip or whatever? i got the ultimate edition from origin, so the file is one huge one all lumped together in my EA file (it went there automatically), but i don't have any files that say "\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\" or "\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\"; it's just the EA file and then The Sims Ultimate Collection, which only has config and has nothing about csconfig, meaning i can't even save and unzip the correct video card in the two folders.

i really super duper appreciate any help you can give me to point me in the right direction. thanks so much in advance!

please let me know if you need any additional files or information and i'll try my absolute best!! i wasn't 100% sure what to include and i just remembered that i forgot to tell you that i have a windows 8 dell, if that helps at all.

@super-cycle - can you tell me the exact address you are looking for (including the drive?) It should be something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CSConfig\

Ah, sorry, I did suspect I might have misunderstood. So I renamed the EA Games folder and started up the game, loaded Pleasantview, went to CAS, and everything seemed normal (some outfits were missing textures, but never mind about that). No crashing. Later on, I started the game again and tried to return to good old Pleasantview - and it crashed. Also, I checked the DirectX features: they were all enabled.
