@eman72 - you need to put the Intel Graphics into both the config folder and the CSConfig folder - it's the second folder that you're missing.
@T for 1 - did you uninstall your previous sims game first? Also was your previous sims game the Store edition? Both of those will cause this sort of problem.
If you let the game create a hood - does it crash?
@molly3liza -
There are 3 things that affect the game. The Graphics Card, the CPU and the RAM.
Your graphics card and RAM are fine for High-resolution, but your CPU doesn't even make the Low Level.
The reason why your game is crashing and without sound - is because your CPU can't cope. The graphics rules is being set to low level because of your CPU.
Unfortunately, what that means is that you won't be able to play it on that PC/Laptop.

Hi Kiri,
I had Sims 2 installed previously but I had it installed within VMware Player but I could never get it to run right so I didn't bother. The reinstall did not help unfortunately

@KimberlyTanith
Getting it work on Mac is a bit beyond me. Have you had a look at this: Parallels VM - Sims2 Graphics Issues
That's the only other thing I can suggest.
@eman72 - I said to attach it - not to copy/paste it. I've put it under spoilers so it doesn't clog up the thread.
Choose Full Editor, then follow this image.
