Closed Sims 2 and Graphics Cards - the fixes.

Yes, I have some CC (just clothes, hairstyles, walls and floors). I've tried taking out the Downloads folder, but it doesn't help.

I put the Intel Graphics Rule into my game and it looks awesome but when I go into CAS the bottom of the screen flickers. I can't adjust the smooth edges cause it's grayed out.

@eman72 - you need to put the Intel Graphics into both the config folder and the CSConfig folder - it's the second folder that you're missing.

@T for 1 - did you uninstall your previous sims game first? Also was your previous sims game the Store edition? Both of those will cause this sort of problem.
If you let the game create a hood - does it crash?

There are 3 things that affect the game. The Graphics Card, the CPU and the RAM.
Your graphics card and RAM are fine for High-resolution, but your CPU doesn't even make the Low Level.
The reason why your game is crashing and without sound - is because your CPU can't cope. The graphics rules is being set to low level because of your CPU.
Unfortunately, what that means is that you won't be able to play it on that PC/Laptop.

Ok I put the Intel file into both the Config and CSConfig folder and it's still flickering in CAS and now in the neighborhood.

Getting it work on Mac is a bit beyond me. Have you had a look at this: Parallels VM - Sims2 Graphics Issues
