Hello! Big Grin Just to add to that, I want to make it clear that the problem is really just the stuttering and very annoying inconsistent frame rates. Even little in-game changes such as rotating, changing to upper/lower floor, zooming in-out - affects the frame rates a lot. 60fps collapses to 20fps within a second, which causes the stutter/micro lag. My monitor is 1366x768 with 60hz refresh rate fyi if that helps anything. I also tried running it with the integrated Intel graphics card but i got lower fps with it so that option is out lol. and oh I am the only user and admin, tried running it as "admin" anyway but did nothing too. Here's my config log:

@DiplexR Did you set the smooth edges to the max (more) as outlined in the first post?

@leefish As I mentioned in my first post in the previous page, yes I have done that. But it did not fix the issue, other than obviously smoothen the edges. All the graphic options in the game don't seem to have any effect on the frame rates at all neither on high or low. It just fails in terms of, let's say - "synching" any visual change that happens in-game where the Frame rate would jump up n down like mad trying to catch up. It's like my system knows it can really annihilate this Sims 2 game with ease, but the game is just too old and too unoptimized for it to handle Sad

Not sure about that regarding unoptimised. I run a quadcore i7 on Win7 with 8gb of ram on a fairly old NVidia GTX and my game looks damn good and runs smoothly.

Looking at your log file the antialiasing is set to 0 and only 1gb of memory is being allocated. Can you take a screenshot of your graphics settings in game and attach it please (or link it on imgur or something if the picsize is colossal)?

Hello everyone,
my problem is that my game won't run at all.
After starting it, a popup shows that the game crashed and will be terminated.
Im using Windows 8.1 64bit and an Nvidia gt540m + Intel HD3000.

Thank you in advance! Smile

After doing all of this, i tried opening my sims game (s2uc) and a window pops up saying "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate."

I searched this up and downloaded what seemed to be DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft. But the problem would still reoccur, even after the download.
Before this i downloaded graphic rules maker to fix the problem of it crashing. But the same thing would happend.

i dont understand what i'm suppose to do :/ . I have Windows 8

The Graphics Rules Maker didn't help. I think I'm going to give up on the UC.

Hi Kiri, I downloaded the Sims 2 Ultimate collection and the game would crash when trying to go into CAS or a household. I found this and other threads and they helped me find that my card (Intel HD Graphics 4000) had the "Not found in database" error. So I downloaded the Graphics rules maker and followed its instructions to get it recognised. With that it gave me the "Failed to find DirectX 9" error message. So I downloaded your Intel fix and replaced the Graphics Rules in the correct folders. Trying to run the game would take me straight to the loading screen where it would promptly say "The application has crashed. The application will now terminate." I am at a loss. I put the original .sgr files back in place so I'm back to the DirectX error. I don't know what to do anymore, I hope you can help me!

I'm using a Windows 8.
