D3DERR_INVALIDCALL when loading families

Hello all! I got a new graphics card, and where I was once able to run this game smoothly, I now get "Direct3D returned an error: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL!" whenever loading occupied lots/families. This does not happen when loading unoccupied lots. I've tried using GRM and deleting userProps.xml before starting the game, but no dice. I've tried CC/mod-free and with CC/mods as well.

My new card is Intel® Arc™ A750 Graphics

Running on Windows 10 Pro.

Hey @xvdevil, was this ever resolved?

And to everyone else... how did this slip past without anyone responding? The attachments were downloaded a bunch of times...

Good questions - both!?!?!?

I check this board just about every morning... if I'd seen it, I woulda answered something. Huh

@CatherineTCJD, yeah, same here: I come here at least once a day --sometimes two or even three times--, so one would expect that I'd seen it, too. But I swear I haven't.

No, sadly I am still unable to load any families in The Sims 2.

And seeing as how you didn't return here to check for results in 6 months, and knowing that you can't load any of your families, I guess you've given up hope?
That's sad, man. I wish this had played out a lot better.

If I'm mistaken, and you still want to find a solution to the problem, please let us know soon, okay?
