Its happening EVERYWHERE - even on the default templates. Its driving me MAD.

I think it is related to javascript (refered to the thread in mybb, it seems happens to all theme).
Did you try to upload a fresh thread.js?
Backup your thread.js first before you overwriting it (if you want to try it).
