Proportal and hide to guests plugin?
#1 28-05-2012
Sorry for new problem, but do you know how to work "hide to guests" plugin on the portal?

Now on the portal I see: "[hide]link...[more]"

And links between hide tags can also be seen by guests.. Sad

Thanks in advance!

I would need to see a copy of the plugin, but really, this is why I don't use pro_portal myself. It is made outside the scope of the normal MyBB setup and so making plugins is a pain, especially as the developer has disappeared.

Ok, I was unable to get this to work on pro_portal (it would be possible, but a lot of work)

But I DID get it to work on portal. I added the "hidden content" tag to the cookie posts (bottom of page 1 on leefish portal). If you are NOT a guest you can read it, if you are a guest it is completely hidden on portal. Is that an option?

Is that ok?

Well, I have never tried to have my portal as homepage, mainly because I am scared I will break my XThreads Big Grin

But in theory it is possible. It is the same way you set up the pro_portal to work - you rename portal to index and change a couple of things. The good news is, you can try this without uninstalling proportal.

Make a copy of the current portal php and then replace that with the portal php from the MYBB download. Now you are using default portal, but all your pro_portal files remain.

Then you need to edit the portal php to be your homepage.
