My all time favorite song, done on the Pan Flute:

Peruvian Pan flute:

IMHO, This is the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard:
"Daniels Jojk"

Will bring you to tears if you watch the whole thing, and understand the story behind it. This man just spilled his soul out, for everyone in the world to see.

LOL! Me too Rolleyes
I found this on my youtube playlist last night (I dunno when I added it? ...a loooong time ago) Anyway *ahem* I do own this record (vinyl) I made my daughter listen to it last night. I've never seen her cringe so hard. TeeHeeHee. She is turning 16 in a few days. This was one of my favorite songs when I was 16. (Of course, I liked it primarily because I saw it as poking fun of Michael Jackson who was soooo big at the time, and who I couldn't stand at the time. Like, gag me with a spoon, K?)
I recommend earmuffs... Confused

Shortly after that phase I found Johnny Rotten, the X-men, and the Dead Kennedys... my poor parents ears. LOL.
Of course, they didn't like my solid, never-a-phase, all-time love of the Beatles. (They liked Elvis and saw it as a competition, I guess)
...and classical is ALWAYS good. Persichetti anyone? Or Mahler? Prokofiev?

Better search said daughters room for a garrotte over the "Rockin' Robin" one. That was pretty brutal. Nearly as bad a Waterboarding.

The second is classical, and I'll give it a pass. Smile

I'm kinda' strange. I don't like the "Beatles" at all, as musicians, however, they do write good songs that other people perform much beter. I never had an opinion, one way or another about Elvis.

Check this young lady out:

I'm so happy that kids are being recognized for their amazing voices. They sing like little Angels.

I love "Celtic Woman". My favorite. Smile

Hayley Westenra! One of the most beautiful women walking the Earth, and a beautiful voice to go with:

This young man singing with Jayden, has a gorgeous voice:

I like them, because they don't try to copy other artists. They're singing naturally. I can honestly say, kids are my favorite singers.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Love Celtic Woman - of course! I first heard them on Endless Ocean, Blue World - I could play that for hours just to listen to the music! LOL
Have you heard Bear McReary's music for Outlander? ...with Raya Yarbrough singing?

^ That link should be a whole playlist - she sings on the second one, the Skye Boat Song. Amazing voice.

It's time to fix dinner, and then I have a photo-shoot for a few more of my 1920's houses (uploaded at MTS2) BUT, then I'll check out the other links you posted.
Cheerio!

I'm really into "newer" stuff with an older sound lately...

So right now, I'm listening to a bunch of tunes from X-Men: Children of the Atom, a fun fighting game that I had the most fun, funnest fun with back in the early to mid 1990's, starting when I first discovered the game in a Mom-and-Pop arcade back when the Air Force had me stuck in Great Falls, Montana. I eventually beat the game with Spiral, who has to be the most powerful yet most underrated and underlauded supervillain whom the X-Men have ever faced in the comic books.

Theme for "Mutant Hunting" (Colossus' stage):

Theme for "Danger Room" (Cyclops' stage):

Theme for "On the Blackbird" (Storm's stage):

Theme for "Moon Night" (Psylocke's stage):

Theme for "Mojo World" (Spiral's stage):

Theme for "Space Port" (Juggernaut's stage):

Theme for "Avalon" (Magneto's stage):

...and plenty more.

So why am I binging on X-Men: CotA tunes? Because after realizing how truly annoyed I am with Salsa music, the Salsa radio station in TS2 and how that Salsa station is always the one that plays when Sims first turn on a radio, I finally took this how-to video to heart and decided to A) get rid of the Simmy Salsa music, and B) create a Simmy X-Men: CotA radio station. Or maybe I'll make it a Simmy "video game tunes in general" station. Who knows? How many tunes can I cram into a single radio station, and how long can they be? I assume that 15 or 20 minutes for each tune might be a bit much. I'll probably have to run Audacity and trim the tunes down to around five minutes each. Confused

(By the way, I am now subscribed to Tina S on YouTube and on Facebook. Thanks for making me aware of her existence, Kunder! Heart )

*ahem* Just sos you don't get the wrong idea... when I mentioned the X-men (back in post #874) I meant:

I found them listening to Rock Over London at midnight on my secret-walkman-that-my-parents-didn't-know-I-had. I was sooo bad back then. Rofl
I even wore skinny plaid pants with Doc Martins, and could Mohawk my hair - though I only did that once. (Getting all the gooey stuff out of it afterward - and before my mom came home - was pretty awful!) Oh man... those were the days. LOL!

I'm glad my musical tastes have developed.

BTW - That was an interesting listen Jones. Thanks Wink

I figured. But sometimes, a coincidence is just a coincidence. Aussie pop rockers are Aussie pop rockers, mutant superheroes are mutant superheroes, and never the twain shall meet. Wink
