UV issue is acknowledged but i could use some help with shadows
Also i consider putting some welding texture where the metal parts meet.
Edit: Added bump map support

For a first table - this looks fantastic! I really like the idea of it, and it looks good from what you've done here. It looks simple and elegantly meshed. Smile

OK for your questions:

The texture quality looks fine for realistic game. You do need to add shadows to your texture to give it some depth - it doesn't take much shadow either - The metal underneath the table top needs to be shaded darker, then a gradient down to half way down the leg. If you put up your texture map, I can show you what I mean.

I think adding the weld texture would be a great idea. The table is definitely grungy, and really looks the part. Smile

Also you've got a small mapping issue in the corner of the metal part where the texture is compressed.

It looks great! I'm sure the simmers who play with a realism style are going to love it. Have you already added bump maps to the wood?

Here is a great tutorial http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=2104071 (part 5) It only takes a couple steps to add them.

Hmm, that is odd. Have you tried just hitting the delete rather than edit?

I checked your member group - you cannot delete a thread but can delete a post. Is that any good?
