Sims2 sims 2 won't open?

This just started happening recently, and it's left me completely puzzled.. My sims 2 game crashes as the cinematic finishes, if i try to skip the cinematic it crashes too. I removed my downloads folder, re installed every expansion to stuff pack, and even deleted the .cache files.. It still crashes no matter what I do, I installed advanced system care, and let it clean everything out (any corrupt files)and the game still fails to fully load. Can someone give me a diagnosis of what the problem is? This started about a week ago, I believe. (I am using Windows 10)
