Hi guys,
I just installed the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from Origin on my ThinkPad T420 - this game worked fine previously on another system, but now the game crashes with ACCESS_VIOLATION upon loading into a lot. I have no custom content installed, and my Windows 10 install is largely fresh (some IDEs and stuff installed, but nothing special).

Steps I have taken to try to rectify the problem:
  • Tried deleting Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 directory.
  • Tried disabling shaders (boolProp useShaders false).
  • Tried running the game as Administrator.
  • Tried updating my system and drivers to the latest versions.

DXDIAG info:

Contents of the newest Sims2Exception file:

Any help in resolving this matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
monotron
