Sims 2 Frame Rate Drops On New Computer

I recently installed The Sims 2 on my computer. It usually works fine until I enter a household or open the family creation tool; then the game turns choppy. I never had this problem on my old computer, which I replaced in 2016.

Goodness! Could you GIVE any less information? Because this is way too much!!!
