Hello, I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. I've tried a few different things and nothing has really solved the problem.
I basically have the same problem as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve4uo_ox4w8
I've installed the graphics rule.sgr that was recommended for windows 10 intel here: http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=6569
I also ran the game as administrator and changed the compatibility to windows 8.
I followed the instructions from this thread, specifically #8: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-The-Sims...-p/3194991
Nada, the problem persists.

My operating system is Windows 10 Home and I have Inter Core i5-7200U processor and Intel HD graphics 620

Quick add, I've never played the Sims 2 before, this is my first time trying it out so I would really appreciate the help to fix the issue as it does disturb my gaming experience

Have you tried this?

http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=7083

You could edit the video card SGR to match your card details and maybe that would work.

thank you for getting back to me, I downloaded both into the corresponding folders and it didn't make a difference. the glitching still persists. How would I change it so that it matches my card details?

I've just tested it out. I placed in both folders and it's still glitching.

I am assuming you have set the smooth edges to more in game? You do this by entering a lot and changing the graphics options. If so then I can't help you any further, sorry Sad
