Sims 2 Keeps Crashing No Matter What

For me, the problem turned out to be the game not properly recognizing my graphics card, and it took some trial and error to fix it. I ended up manually editing the video cards.sgr file to add my card’s details, which made a big difference. I also had trouble with the Graphics Rules Maker not detecting the Mansion and Garden expansion, so I had to double-check that the file paths were set up correctly and ensure I was running the game in Windows XP compatibility mode.
It’s definitely frustrating to troubleshoot, but once everything was configured, the game ran smoothly without crashes. The hints from https://skinomat.com/blog/rust-console-skins/ gave me some ideas for customizing games, which was a nice distraction from all the tech headaches.
