E_INVALIDARG when running on NVIDIA GeForce 840m

Sims 2 absolutely refuses to run on my NVIDIA card. It will load up in the background, and then shoot me an "E_INVALIDARG" error. Every time I have looked up this error, not a single answer has been helpful. Constantly the answer is "just run integrated" but integrated leads to memory leaks and I cannot play long without purple flashing.

I am running on 8.1.

Before you post requesting help
Information we need

  1. The -config-log.txt from the Logs folder in the My Documents\EA\The Sims2\ Click "full editor" below to attach a text file.
  2. Your operating System.
  3. What the problem actually is - that will be a picture to show the problem (optional), and accompanying text files that turn up (optional), and a detailed description of what happened, and what you expected to happen.
