Heard a rumor on Carl's Sims 3 Forum that it translated to this (the same poster also questioned it's validity, so I'm not sure on it myself):

Anyway don't have time even to buy the latest expansion of sims3 and already you find the new sims4? :/ Bad marketing, in this way no one will buy sims 3 island paradise

Well, if it's any good, I might jump from TS2 to TS4 and just skip TS3 altogether.

Yup, I think the reason we are all Sims2 diehards is that we just don't LIKE Sims3.

The banner with the sims eyes gives me more hope for sims 4 then the first pictures of the sims 3 eating on the picnic blanket did.
