i finally got around to installing the sims 2 ultimate collection off origin on my new system and the game is having a real hard time running. First off its stuck at 800x600 and then most of the options are locked down and the textures are going bananas with flickering whenever i move. MY system has a GTX 1070 8GB, 16gb ram, windows 10 and an i5 3570K with a heavy overclock so i should easily be able to run the game at 1080P so im not sure what the deal is.

I tried following the guides on here but they were confusing as heck because i never messed with sims config files and they're very weird compared to other games from this era.

Download these cards:

Graphic Rules Nvidia Max 1920 Texture Fix
Video Cards.sgr Nvidia - 1b81

Install them into these folders:

\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config\
\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CsConfig\
MUST BE INSTALLED IN BOTH FOLDERS

That should fix your problem - let me know how you go.
