Sims 2 crashes when moving in other sims

Hey everyone,
I have been playing Sims 2 lately continuing my Sim’s story. And in that story she invites her friend to move in. When she does move in I look at her relationships and the game freezes and Windows 10 says “the application has crashed. The application will now terminate”. I clicked ok and thought that her friend was a corrupted sim and didn’t try it with her again. So I have this guy she likes move in and when I select him it crashes again. I looked it up and it seems that I’m the only one with this issue. Any help?
