Hello mr. BoilingOil! I have no idea if you're still active around here, but I was trying to hunt down your version of jase439's Childhood Crush mod (the one that allows same-sex crushes) that was once posted at Simbology. Since the website is no longer available and I can't find any reuploads anywhere, I was wondering if you still had it and could share it once again, or direct me to somewhere else where I can find it. Hopefully you're still around. Thanks in advance!

Pass Along business Rewards to Family?

When one of your sims has a business, they will eventually receive business perks. So you learn new skills: the business rewards!
Then your sim comes home, and can teach those new abilities (using the "Pass Along" menu option) to other household members -- REGARDLESS of familial relations.
Those other household members can then use those skills when helping in the business. However, they *could* also make use of some of these skill even when NOT helping out in the business. And when they leave the household, and start a business of their own, they still already have those skills as an extra advantage!

So why can't my sim pass along these skills to family members in another household? Like her parents, her siblings, or her children? Should they really be at a disadvantage, only because they left the parental home?

I didn't think so. So, quite a while back, before my Sims-2 hiatus, I wrote a mod to do something about it. With this mod, in addition to household members, your sim's parents, children and siblings in other households can now also benefit from this feature. Your sim just has to get together with them and use the same old "Pass Along" menu.

Question: would anyone be interested in that mod? It has been thoroughly tested, and appears to function quite adequately!

Hi BO,

Needless to say, I'm impressed with the game mods you've created and hope you might want to tackle one game mod I've never seen anyone do for TS2, and I've been looking for a very long time.

No one I know of, as yet, has ever made a game mod that resolves the problem with Servos running amok and breaking down, and in the process, electrocuting other Sims, sometimes killing them. I was hoping for a solution to the entire Servo Running Amok problem. It would be great if Servos didn't break down at all. However, I would welcome any positive game mod for Servos, even if just to prevent other Sims from electrocution and death. Making the Sims World a Safer Place. God, are they prone to death or what?!

Anyway, I think if anyone is able to tackle this problem, I'm betting you're the man who can make it happen. Thanks for reading my request.

BO, Here's a hobby animation I never see in real people. The more culinary enthusiasm and cooking skills they have, the more they rub their stomachs and groan with pleasure. Once in a blue moon after a meal might be cute, but they do it randomly, way too often, and it's gross.

I've looked for years for a mod to kill ONLY this hobby animation, to no avail. CJ made "No Hobby Animations" that addresses it ( http://www.cyjon.net/node/212 ) but it also kills off animations that I really like, like the bookwalk and playing with the rubic cube.

This simmer ( http://modthesims.info/t/467958 ) sums up my feelings perfectly about it, but no one in that topic or elsewhere on the web seems to know where to find that specific "no yummy stomach rubbing" mod.

So, when you get some free time, would you be interested in making this mod? Thank you if can!

OFB - No Autonomous Job Reassignment

Hello Mr. Leefish,

My sims create some really nice businesses, especially the restaurants. However, one thing that OFB does is maddening. I can best explain by example.

Sim A has a lovely restaurant, complete with a highly skilled chef, a hostess, one or two servers. He's usually the chef, but not always.

When I play Sim B, and he goes there to dine, Sim A is autonomously reassigning the jobs of his employees, and ends up with a chef who can barely cook, or the podium is unattended b/c he reassigned that employee to be server, and so on. A work around has been to use a 'Select this sim' mod to get him back on track, but it's distracting b/c I only want to focus on Sim B especially if Sim B is on an outing with friends or has a date. (It's even worse when I have additional employees such as a bartender and DJ.)

Attached is a pic of my Pollination Tech and his son Johnny on the rooftop of the restaurant, who I am playing in this scene. They don't own it, they're just on an outing, and I only want to play them. The other photo of the sim with the blue sleeves owns the restaurant. He's supposed to be the chef, but instead is about to auto-reassign his no-cooking skills waitress as chef. I can't see the pics in the preview but maybe you can.

I considered using 'Business Run You' hack, but that has a lot of other features I don't want, and would have to also use other mods with it to work which I also don't want.

I've been playing TS2 for years, have all the EPs and expansion packs through M&G.

Thank you for your time if you can do this.
And in a similar vein, would it also be possible to make the sims pay to eat at work/school?

Hi BO! I am posting this on behalf of Simonut, because she can't get Leefish to let her post. She PMed me asking me if I could enable the slob-based interaction lick plate. I tried allmenus on and directing my Sim to use it, but it falls out of queue. I didn't understand why, and since I don't understand all that's written I told Simonut I can't do it, and she then thought of you and wanted to see if you might be able to.

After talking with grinEvilly today, who told me it used to work but now doesn't, I've tracked down the problem to be that Freetime and up have an additional line at the start of the BHAV that calls semiglobal Can I use This?. It's nothing but stack object lines so I don't understand squat of what it's doing, but I tried adding back the pre-FT code and the interaction then works. It's not a hidden interaction, but it only appears for Sims with less than 300 in neatness. So rather than enabling it, I guess what's needed is fixing whatever it was that EA broke when adding that Semi.

The interaction is Interaction - Lick Clean - Test, with group 0x7F8834C8. It calls semiglobal Can I use This? on the first line, and has two arguments on that same line. The Can I Use This? has the same group.

The obvious solution would be to just revert to the pre-FT code, but I don't know that the semiglobal isn't doing something that should be done but going about it the wrong way, so I don't want to do that. As I first said, this is beyond me, but since Simonut can't post herself I thought I'd forward her request to you, along with what I found today.

Committed Relationships for adults

Hi! I'm kind of embarassed that this is the second request I make of you, but there's no harm in asking, right? At least I'd know if such a hack is possible or not. I promise I'm not abusing this thread!

I'm craving committed relationships for adults. There's the Adults Go Steady hack here: http://modthesims.info/d/169477, but as far as I know it's unsupported and I don't know if it plays nice with a bunch of other stuff I have.

So I am wondering if it's possible to make a hack that

1) Allows adult/elder sims to be in a committed relationship, complete with a propose interaction
2) That plays nice with ACR (ACR counts them as steady lovers, like in teens) and Pescado's Romance Mod (family sims accept committed relationships at a lower level than, say, romance sims) without losing features of those hacks,
3) Committed adults don't have to move in with their significant other after the proposal
4) Committed adults would still have the option to get engaged/married at a later date if they wish to do so.

It'd be awesome if the propose interaction would be called anything other than "go steady", that's good for teens but... not for adults, I think It could be called something like Propose.../Committed Relationship.

I think it could be possible to do if the going steady interactions are taken as a base? *pretends to know anything about modding*
I would love you forever if you could consider. Thank you for reading!

Just joined in the Leefish forum to request this I like your Sanitary Sanity Mod, but I was wishing for a different version of the mod, namely one that doesn't prevent peeing standing for males (because I find it quirky) and that forces sims of 5-6 or greater neat points to wash their hands. I like my sloppy sims to stay disgusting, see. But I'd like to see my neat freaks washing their hands!

I opened the file in simpe to see if I could edit it myself to suit my tastes, but being a noob when it comes to BHAVs, the mod stared at me and I stared back, of course If it's possible for you to do this for me I'd greatly appreciate it!

You can create a birthday cake, but instead of changing the life stage of one Sim, only add one day old?
Also it would be nice if the sim, can blow out the candles at any time, not only the day of his change of age.
I think it's nice to see when Sims celebrate the birthday of another sim, but I do not like that could be held only once in every stage of life.

I've been meaning to do this myself for ages, but it's beyond me at the moment and I don't see that changing anytime soon. My Servos all insist on committing suicide several times a day if there's a water wiggler present, and since I use them as a method for dogs to tend their own hygiene, many of my lots do have water wigglers.

Any chance you'd be willing to take a look at it? Any solution that allows other Sims and pets to play with it autonomously, but prevents Servos would work. I wouldn't want kids/pets to be robbed of autonomous use just because Servos are dumb and can't remember to stay away from water.

This is a little outside the kind of mod you might usually do, but it's still BHAVs and BCONs, and you're the only active modder I know that I think might be able to pull this off.

I've always loved Monique's computer, because of it's banking feature. But it's very hard-wired in terms of how it works, and interest is much too steep for my taste. I also don't like that you gain interest regardless of where the Sim is, so you might get interest multiple times in the same time period if a Sim visits a lot of community lots.

The other option I use is Cyjons loan jar, which is a bit more free, but only allows loans, not deposits. And interest happens daily, with 1% as the lowest amount which racks up really fast for bigger loans. But it only does it on the lot the jar is placed, so it is better than the computer in that sense. I know there are other options out there, but they all have their limtations.

Every player has their own personal preference on how to set up their economy (if they bother) and having such set-in-stone ways really limits what you can do. What I'd like to see is a banking object that will
- Allow loans and deposits. Separate would be optimal, perhaps make it object-tied as with the loan jar.
- Only works on the lot it's placed on
- Allows a variety of interest rates
- Allows a variety of different frequencies for interest. For example, being able to set it to add interest every X days.
Cyjon so kindly allows his code to be used, so a modified version of the loan jar may be a good place to start, since it already has some of these functions.

I realize this is very complex and may be way beyond what you want to take on. But I wanted to at least post and see what happens. I'd help out in every way that I can. I'm not the greatest modder, but I have some modding-knowledge and I'm good at testing.

SIMS 2:
One thing I was always annoyed with is that at a wedding, the Bride cannot slow-dance with her father. I don't want them to be able to 'dance close' or any of the butt-grabbing, dipping or smooching options. Just to have the father of the bride slow-dance with his little girl at her wedding. I thought it would be kind of a sweet, tender moment that doesn't have to lead to incest.

Is this possible to do? Can you allow family members to slow-dance, and introduce a family-check that would disable the romantic interactions? I don't know anything about coding the Sims, but I'd like to imagine it's as simple as moving the family check from BEFORE the slow-dance option to AFTER it, thus enabling the dance, but disabling the intimate aspects... But that's probably overly simplistic. haha...

Thinking about it... it might trigger jealousy, which would suck, too... Breaking up at your wedding cuz you're jealous of your new bride slow-dancing with her father... That might be something that'd have to be checked and modified, as well.

Also... slightly related... Is it possible to disable the food-fight triggering romantic feelings? I had teen boy best friends... thought it'd be fun to have one throw a handful of slop at his best buddy. Next thing i know, they're swooning over each other. Not at ALL what was intended.

Thanks!!

One of my biggest peeves in Sims 2 is how clothing is displayed in a sim's inventory. Finding certain clothes is nearly impossible because they are displayed in random order in the sim's personal inventory (i.e. when I send them to a wardrobe or use a custom hacked object to change clothes), not in the order they show up in Bodyshop or while shopping. The order of clothes in Bodyshop and while shopping for clothes is based on the chronological order clothes were imported into Bodyshop, newest clothes being first, and is very easy to remember because clothes from downloaded sets appear in groups. Is there any way you could change this to make clothes in sim's inventories correspond to the order in Bodyshop and shopping? I'd be so thankful if you could do this, and it would really improve gameplay (I can't be the only person who finds this confusing and annoying).
