It feels a little silly to post my own creation as a find, but I wanted my valiant testers to know that my trampoline is finally finished and available for public consumption. Big Grin You all rock, you know that, right?

Anyway. The trampoline. It's now called the Sim Bouncer and it functions as follows:
  • Sims aged child - elder gain body skill and fitness, and also fitness enthusiasm if FT is installed - and they have fun while doing it Smile
  • Sims with 3+ body skill can do back flips
  • Sims with 3+ body skill can teach other Sims how to bounce. All Sims can teach, even children
  • Sims can watch when another Sim bounces; they won't gain any skill or enthusiasm, but they'll have fun and be social
  • and finally, this trampoline favours playful Sims, not active ones like other exercise equipment, so it's playful Sims who get the personality bonus of quicker skill building
Have fun, and keep Simming! Celebrate

Note to Testers: I've changed the filename from the test version, but not the GUID, so if you have it in game you'll have to delete the file called obj_nixnivis_skillingtrampoline.package manually.

With credit and a link, please DO:

- make recolours of my meshes and redistribute the meshes together with your recolours

- include my Bodyshop items with your Sims and my objects with your lots

- use my creations in screenshots, movies or stories; credit is appreciated, but in no way required

But please DON'T:

- take my work and claim it as your own

- upload my work as-is on any website or forum

- use my textures as a base for your recolours

- upload my work on pay/donation sites or to The Sims Resource - yes, that's even though TSR are supposed to be "nice" these days.

- alter or convert my meshes without permission

Thank you for downloading, and Happy Simming!

Double-posting again, but I'm p*ssed. Angry This person is actually on my ignore list because I think they make effing stupid comments, but this one really takes the cake: "But to be fair I 'Must' give credit to the original creator Zookini for the idea object and making of the Trampoline"

WTF??? Apparently, someone on MTS that I've never heard of made a trampoline in 2006, and because of that, this idiot thinks that person should get credit as the "original creator" of my trampoline - which me pretty much seems to imply that they think I stole it from Zookini, whoever that is, even though they do graciously allow that I have added some functions to it.

I'm not going to reply to them tonight because I'm livid, but remember how I said before that I'm not too keen on being accused of stealing? Yeah. Angry

Hmm, reading the full comment I don't think they meant to accuse you of stealing the idea. Although it's worded confusingly so who knows. I hope they're just being overzealous with crediting people for ideas, not realizing that you'd never seen the previous version and came up with the idea for yours completely independently. I mean, like, as completely independently as possible considering neither of you actually invented the concept of a trampoline. Tongue

But yeah, some comments sure are infuriating. It's really hard to ignore the one bad one amongst 20 good ones. I'm the same way.

You know what? A little birdie named Honeywell just reminded me of other unpleasant comments this same person has made. They seem to have a habit of pointing out "faults" when it's really not warranted. I retract my previous statement. Hate 'em all you want!

I'm with you, Nix! But seriously don't take him personally s/he's just an ass and you were right to ignore them to begin with. This was my comment from it, "For those Who have Apartment I am sure there is much happiness. For those who do not ( like myself ) oh well it comes down to take what you can. Thank you."

Unlike you I didn't wait and made a nasty comment, thought better of it and then had to go back and edit it out. You should probably just ignore it but if you decide to call them out I'll be cheering you on. Wink

Later that day...
My work here is done.

People will always knock your work or you or something you did. Random quote from Medea "People gonna talk about you til the day you die. Aint nothin you can do about it" You gotta just ignore people that do that. Remember, for the one person who disapproves of something you do, there will be a vast multitude of people who do approve. The good always outweighs the bad.
