Plastic windows

@leefish
Hmm,that's good possibility,although plastic windows tend to be same colour on both sides
it means to re-clone a window with those separate subsets?

A lot of it is about styling of houses. I think you can get those plastic windows in two colours you know. Recloning a window with two subsets might be a pain if you want to keep it base.

Here are is a great tutorial on how to ADD a subset: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=103379

I based an entire sims2 modding career on that tutorial Tongue .

Mapping both side separately on same texture helps too?
Because I already added textureable glass as second subset

you could do that - but textureable glass.... I dunno. If it was me, I would want the windows to have the subsets more than the glass. Why not see what other fishes think?

Because I love stained glass - I'd rather have the glass. But to be honest, I've never used the two different colours for internal/external on any other windows where it's offered, except for the 2nd Empire - where it's too gaudy for my interiors. But I wouldn't necessarily call myself a builder/decorator foremost - there are others who may prefer something different.

I love those windows btw - they are so familiar! Big Grin

As a builder I would prefer to be able to recolour the window frames rather than the glass.

Yup, I agree with Karen and Lee, I would prefer to have the inside and outside as different subsets, rather than the glass.

In order to please everyone,I made two versions:
a)re-colourable glass
b)separately re-colourable interior/exterior

So what you think?
